Dr. Lieu makes North Natomas her home with her husband and two sons, ages four and six. The path to her current practice is the key to her caring approach. Dr. Lieu took an interest in dentistry at age five. She put that interest aside for five years from ages 13 to 18 when she became a Buddhist nun. She wanted to do good in the world. Although she decided the convent was not her life’s path, she believes it made her a better person. She now does volunteer dentistry at the temple where she used to live and is part of the Smile For Kids team to provide free dentistry to children who “fall between the cracks” in healthcare, who otherwise could not afford dental treatment.
Dr. Lieu’s passion in helping patients transforming their smiles, educating them about their oral health, and the way she treats them in general, she was given a name “A dentist with an Angel’s hands.” Those who knows Dr. Lieu and are under her care would know how gentle, caring, and professional she is to her patients. Her goal is to develop trust and long-lasting relationships with all of her valuable patients.
